My mother did a personal appearance tour with Andy Iona and his Islanders in 1939. Andy and his group appeared in Honolulu. Mom toured from April 28, 1939 to June 1, 1939 Cities played: New York April: 28-May 4, 1939 Lowe’s State Theatre; Washington DC: May 5-11, 1939, at the Capitol Theatre; Cleveland: May 12-18, 1939, at the Lowe’s State Theatre; Pittsburgh: May 19-25, 1939 at the Stanley Theatre: Chicago, May 26-June 1, 1939 at the RKO Palace
